Justice For Soli

Seven weeks after Solieman’s death

Dear friends,

Today marks the seven week anniversary of Soleiman Faqiri’s death on Dec 15, 2016 who was killed by guards during a physical altercation with them at the Central East Correctional Centre (CECC) in Lindsay, ON.

We want to know why the Kawartha Lakes Police Service has NOT laid charges to those who are responsible for Soleiman’s death.

Soleiman’s had a known mental illness (Schizophrenia) and staff at CECC were aware of his medical condition. Where is the compassion?

No Canadian should die under these circumstances, and no Canadian should die under government care.”

The pain of my brother’s death continues to seep into our hearts while anguish strikes our minds. My family is still grieving for the loss of our precious Soleiman, yet to this day the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS) has not reached out to my family. Is this how you treat Ontarians? Where is the respect and dignity that my family deserves?

My friends and fellow Canadians alike, I am asking and pleading with you to please helps us and share our tragic story. We need your help.

You can help us by the following ways:
